Maintaining adherence to the code

NextGen Healthcare has adopted the Electronic Health Record Association (EHRA) Code of Conduct, version 2. We have long adhered to the principles within the code—adopting version 2 reaffirms our commitment to supporting clients in delivering better healthcare with innovative tools. We are one of of more than 30 companies that supply the vast majority of operational electronic health records (EHRs) throughout the United States.

The Code of Conduct was developed through engagement with stakeholders spanning government constituents, healthcare provider associations, and consumers. The EHRA provides guidance on implementation and information necessary for developers to adopt the code, and reviews and updates the code periodically. They encourage adoption by all EHR developers, regardless of their membership with the EHRA.
